We recorded 10,000+ self tapes, helped countless actors book roles on shows, movies, and commercials, then watched the technology that built our business make it obsolete. So we pivoted — and we’re not looking back.

How We Started

We built The Creation Station Studios in 2014 as a self-tape studio, recording more than 10,000 self tapes across Los Angeles, Texas, and New York — over $4M in productions for clients repped by CAA, UTA, Gersh, Paradigm and APA. Along the way, we helped countless actors book roles on shows, movies, TV series, and commercials.

Ten thousand tapes taught us one thing: what actually books a role is a strong performance, good light, and clean audio — not an expensive studio. We knew that truth before most people wanted to hear it.

The Pivot

The Gatekeepers Are Gone

The moment every actor had a decent phone camera and a free editing app, self-taping stopped being a business and became a race to the bottom. That same shift is happening everywhere else in this industry: the gatekeepers who used to decide who gets to produce, publish, and get paid are no longer the gatekeepers. Anyone can produce their own content and monetize it — if they do it correctly.
