About Course

This self tape audition course takes you from the moment the sides arrive to the moment you hit send. In six step-by-step lessons you will prepare the scene, work with a reader, record a clean slate and strong takes, then edit, name and submit your self-tape on time.

What This Self Tape Audition Course Covers

Self tape audition course: actor recording takes with a reader off camera
  • Breaking down the sides and choosing a clear objective
  • Working with an in-person or virtual reader
  • The slate: what to say and when
  • Recording two or three takes, and choosing the best one
  • Editing, exporting and naming the file
  • Submitting early and following through

A Repeatable Self Tape Audition Routine

Actors who book from self-tapes follow the same routine every time. This course gives you that routine, built from more than 10,000 self tapes recorded at The Creation Station Studios. Once it is a habit, every audition takes less time and less stress.

Before You Start

You will get the most from this course if your setup is ready. If it is not, take How to Set Up a Self-Tape first. You will also need a reader. A friend works, or book a virtual reader.

How the Course Works

Get All-Access once and all three courses unlock in your dashboard. Your dashboard shows your next step, and the Self-Tape Coach answers questions as you go. Pass the final quiz and complete the course to get your certificate.

Keep the course open on your next real audition. Follow each self tape audition course lesson in order, and you will send a clean, on-time tape with nothing missed.
