Our acting coaches, Donnabella Mortel and Kevin L. Walker, are working actors who have trained, booked and taught for years. They have collaborated with teachers such as Michelle Danner, Stan Kirsch, Lesly Kahn and commercial coach Killian, and they built the Self-Tape Academy from what actually books.
A working actor for 15+ years with a dozen-plus speaking roles on TV and film, including How to Get Away with Murder, The Young & the Restless and Jane the Virgin; films such as Savages; national commercials for McDonald's, AT&T and Pizza Hut; and award-winning audiobooks. A former NBA dancer and collegiate cheerleader who has worked with actors from age 7 to 87.
A working actor for 20+ years in TV, film, national and international commercials and voice over, with projects including The Young & the Restless, Law & Order, Vigilante Diaries, McDonald's, Ford, Levi's and Disney. Kevin also founded The Creation Station Studios in 2014.
Every actor has a unique essence. Our acting coaches focus on helping you tap into it, strengthen your craft and make clear, organic choices, on and off camera: scene analysis, genre, the differences between mediums, and the business side, from headshots and résumés to representation.
Today that teaching lives in the Self-Tape Academy, and in one-on-one coaching and consultation on specific auditions.
